Watch What You Say

He was happy to hear her voice, no matter how long it had really been over.

"Nahhh! Of course all of you are invited. Hey, lady--I look forward to having my appearance and grooming mocked on the big day, so don't you back off. Yeah, Wesley can come. Duh, Angel can come. Like I was such a serious threat to him and Buffy...he does? Well, have him do it on stage. Yeah! We'll have an Angel imitation contest. No. A Buffy one is bad idea. Errr...Cordy, I'll sure tell Dawn that she has *always* dressed cooler than her sister, but I think there's something you should know."

"Well, how could you have known if no one told you? Oh--that's how. Still, the monks made it kind of retroactive. No---I never asked Giles how Dawn would have done in the other world you wished up. I'll give that one to Willow, as part of her twelve step. Alright, I guess. You know Willow. No, not as well as I know her, in the biblical sense, ha-ha. Oh. Well, at least one of the turncoats who slammed you after I goofed things up between us is preggers. By a guy who she thought had real money, but who in reality has a job record I'd give blood to Spike to avoid. Yeah, the one who said the Yellow Power Ranger actress was her cousin."

"Floating is....good. I'm okay with floating. Not during the ceremony. So the visions are under control, though? Good. I'm glad to hear you're good, no matter what you had to do. Of course they can come, too. Who are they?"

Xander hung up, and Anja walked in from the other room. He smiled at her.

"Hey, honey. The gang from LA's a definite, at least for now."

"Oh, really? Any new developments with Ex-Woman?"

"Yeah, she's now half-dem-----"

Xander remembered what his lady had lost, and who she initially blamed for it.

"Half-dead with exhaustion."
