THE ACME UNIVERSEIn an odd cartoon world, Peter Kirk and his friends had met and made a kind of peace with its various residents. All but one. It wouldn't leave them alone. It wouldn't be put off.
The residents called it The Beast.
Now, too many lines had been crossed. Peter's eyes glowed green, and his hair spiked in a golden crest. Saavik followed suit in this, her abilities giving him an exact picture of the creature's complicated energy matrices. She closed off all avenues of escape.
Penny Robinson fired up next, albeit with energies that cycled purplish. She would fire in every direction Peter did not. Will's abilities put The Beast at calm, and warded off all bystanders. Dumb luck would not aid the monster this day.
Wesley Crusher's underrated chronal abilities were now absolutely vital. The creature would not duck or bend or otherwise avoid the blast. It was now perfectly frozen in time. He mused that even Picard would have trouble accepting this one's behavior.
Walter O'Reilly used the fantastic power of his immense Quickening as Connor Macleod had shown him. He reached out, and knew the Beast's exact position. This he fed back to Peter, who began the count. Blake Pierce stood back, the littlest titan not wanting to mess this up.
"KAAAAAAAAAAAA------"
Peter's hands cupped, and energy began to build.
"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE------"
Saavik formed an energy funnel leading from Peter's hands to The Beast.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-----"
Penny and Will unified their efforts, targeting major weaknesses instead of the creature's whole being.
"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE------"
Walter and Wes kept time-frozen Quickening-Lightning around The Beast. If it were to escape, a shocking surprise awaited it.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Peter began the assault, and kept on going for hours, long past the point any reasonable being would stop. The energy wave only increased as he went on.
He had to be sure.
"The Beast Must Die!"
Pinky And The Brain, latest victims of The Beast's Madness, for once actually were pondering what the other was pondering.
"The Beast Must Die!"
The Warner siblings, Yakko, Wakko and Dot, had only once encountered the Beast. They would never forget it.
"The Beast Must Die!"
Babs Bunny of Acme Looniversity had spent time as a captive of The Beast. She had no sympathy for its final fate.
"The Beast Must Die!"
In the end, it had nowhere to run, and no one to save it. The killer and torturer and imprisoner was wiped away that day and at long last was no more. It was brash Buster Bunny who braved the spot where it had vanished, risking everything if it should rise one last time. He had always been its favorite target. But finally, he gave the thumb's up.
"Killer job, Pete. Because of you, its finally over."
A marker was placed where the son of James Kirk had made a difference.
"ELMYRA DUFF--1988-2001 -- MAY SHE BURN IN HECK!!!"
Of course, Heck became a lot more Heckish for people like The Kurgan, Harriet Oleson, Zachary Smith and a host of favorites. But then, such is Heck.
