Swimming's a Sport

Denev 3, 2283

Peter looked about at the auto-maintained landscapes. There had never been natural predators on Denev 3, and the houses all looked the same. Almost.

"It used to be bigger."

Saavik playfully grabbed her husband's 'package', seeking to cheer him up.

"Illogical, bondmate. All appears to be the same size as last night."

He shook his head and looked his good fortune over.

"Why are you so Un-Vulcan?"

"Why are you so Un-Terran? Peter, we are back at your childhood home. The place you have told me of so often. We have violated the quarantine to be here. Why are you not allowing your emotions free reign?"

He stared away from her, and up at the sky.

"Because I'll never get them back in, if I do, Saavik. The love I feel for you, plus being here again, makes me want to forget Ghidorah, Admirals, Captains, and conspiracies. I'm home, my love."

His face a firm dam against his hidden tears, Peter looked back at his wife.

"All I want, beloved, is to lay here with you for all eternity, making love."

She smiled.

"You don't have to seduce me, Peter. We are married, now, you know."

His own smile returned, as she had prayed. The bond was still new, and needed time to evolve. But that smile of his still brought a sudden wave of 'goosebumps' right from her breasts to her thighs.

"Speaking of marriage, what about T'Pau? Is she going to anull us?"

"A year from the date of our bonding, we are to appear before her. You know she wishes to bring charges of rape against me? James once called her, 'All Of Vulcan In One Package'. Indeed she is. For All Of Vulcan continues to find me a distasteful inconvenience."

As he had for five years, Peter held an upset Saavik. Theirs was a damned odd love affair. It always had been.

When a scheme of T'Pring's nearly resulted in Captain Kirk's death, T'Pau forced her House to purchase Jim Kirk a Vulcan citizenship as punishment. Some years later, when an anxious Spock had not declared on the half-feral Saavik's adoption records, Kirk intervened again. Legally, her name was Saavik Brianna Kirk-Kirk. Kirk for her  adoptive father, Brianna in honor of his mother, and Kirk for her new husband--the biological son of her adoptive father.

Perhaps if Spock's personal shame over his own torture and his forced abandonment of daughter Saavik on Hellguard had not been so very great, he might have been more than just a beloved figure in her young life. But three out of five of the people she loved best were human. Without knowing her parentage, she sometimes wondered if she was somehow part human. Like any other world, Vulcan was not eternally on its best behavior. Added to that, its dark side was quite dark indeed. As Peter Kirk well knew. He had dealt with some of that dark side when he confronted and killed the casually vicious T'Pring.

"Hey, you have friends on Vulcan. Remember, pretty lady, for some, IDIC is just a word. For others, it is breath. Besides, the evidence we recovered from T'Pring's estate indicate that you were targeted by the Order for harassment. You, Wife, were never given a chance to be a Vulcan---or a little girl, for that matter. Wanna be one now?"

The effort was casual but startling, as always. Without dismissing her pain or really changing the subject, her second heart had reasoned out a way to alleviate the shame that non-acceptance brought.

"In what way will we act as children?"

Peter's eyes began to glow. They both lifted into the air, six feet above the ground, then went face-first and horizontal.

"Let's fly!!"

A thrill took over her heart as Peter telekinetically lifted them over the landscape. Flying like this was not logical. But it was very sexually arousing. They landed on a cliff overlooking a stream.

"Ready for a dip, Saavik-kam?"

"Peter, I have brought nothing to keep my clothes in, nor a suit!"

He looked down.

"Young couples seeking a fun first time would use this stream, sometimes. Its called The Ripper. Its moving currents will literally pluck you like a chicken. We'll be in no danger---but things start to move fast. Besides--'Swimming's A Sport--Enjoyed By Great And Small--and The Best Suit They Say--Is No Suit At All."

Saavik felt nervous.

"No. I--Vulcan has no such streams. I do not wish to."

Peter hugged his new wife, and held her very, very close. He looked at her and an evil grin formed.

"Sorry, Romulan! But you are my prisoner!"

With that, he continued to hold her and jumped.

"PETER CLAUDIUS KIRK!! LET ME GO!!"

And so he did. As she struck the chill waters, she reasoned out ways to kill him slowly. Her jacket was a quick casualty. His shirt was already gone. Peter had been right. They were each nude within ten seconds, the shifting current claiming each garment like a fabric-eating pirahna.

"Isn't this GREAT?"

"Your Romulan prisoner is going to kick your ass for this, Peter!"

"Cool."

Finally, she regained purchase and grip by an outcropping. Annoyed as she was with her husband, she couldn't deny the thrill of being hurriedly undressed in that manner. Peter grabbed the outcropping.

"May I, Wife?"

"Husband, I demand that you do."

As Saavik grasped two jutting sandbars with her feet, Peter felt his way inside her. In the heat of passion, the creep grabbed her arms and pushed loose her feet. With groins firmly entwined, they were again taken by the water.

"Husband, do you have an active death wish?"

"Wife, you don't have to be crazy to fight The Ancient Destroyer! But it sure helps when you're making love in icy, moving waters with the most beautiful woman alive!"

"You live dangerously, flatterer!"

Her anger fading, she kissed him, just as they felt the last bump. Hurled onto shore, a shot of pained ecstasy went through them as Peter was hurled over Saavik's form by the impact.

"Can't---move!!!"

For Peter, it was a moment as no other. In those chill waters, he had exorcised the ghosts of this place, his childhood home, unfairly quarantined for many years. Best of all, as far as he was concerned, Saavik really was the most beautiful woman alive. She felt her pick him up.

"Good, honey. Take us back to the shuttle, and a change of clothes."

But they were once more on the cliff overlooking the stream.

"What gives, Saavik?"

She grinned and kissed him.

"You are now MY PRISONER, Terran! And I say....."

"Oh....no. Saavik-kam, I'm wiped. Not...."

She jumped with him in her arms, joyfully shouting out a final word.

"AGAAAAIIIIINNNNN!!!!!!"
