NGH - A Partial Timeline
by Rob Morris

I'm still planning 'Buffy And The Colonels', wherein the Scoobies in 2000 team with the now FK-style vampiric Sherman, while Buffy and HL-Immie Radar travel back to 1951 and the command (so to speak) of Henry Blake, there to complete a task the Slayer of that era failed in. Count on a lot of culture clashes and little twists.

And there was another MASH character in there, BTW. The Kabballic Master, the Immortal who went into psychiatry around 1900? He later became Sidney Freedman. He was killed along with his wife and stepchildren during the Slaughter Of The Innocents by The Four Horsemen, and was cast out when he revived. Wrongfully blaming the target of Herod's wrath, he also became the basis for the legend of The Wandering Jew.

As to Anya and the timeline, I dunno. I didn't want to cover every event of the BTVS/AtS universe, only those pertaining to Xander secretly being a Summers in the NGH AU. Anya plays next to no role in that--at least for now. :) For example, I included the misfiring love spell because it showed how Xander's magic-negation sometimes kicked in without his knowledge, and because I had to explain why he nearly had sex that evening with two people who should be off his list entirely. In Buffy's case, its simple--they didn't know. If Joss had chosen that route back when, I'd have it be an even more awkward point than it's been in NGH. But they didn't, so its mainly a 'whew'! In Joyce's case, though—she knew, and I couldn't have 'Jane escaped' explaining away every bad moment for Joyce, and de facto to this AU, trying to nail Sonny Boy counts as a bad moment. So what she really wanted, through the filter of a carnal spell, was to take her son home and make sure he was never hurt again.

Some other things deliberately excluded for now : Giles' childhood and relationship with Ethan, and just what Hank was doing all this time. Those will be the subject of some short, 3-part stories.

The next big NGH will be The Bad Masks, which I'll likely start out with a flashback to the slaughter of the ignorant fleeing Sunnydale. In short, Ethan's nightmarish 'family' wants to give the FE a body—and wait'll you see who it is!

It may take time, folks--but I think you'll like.
