Captain Kirk looked at his daughter-in-law, who was also his adoptive daughter.

"You jumped out onto the hull of this ship, to face Ghidorah. That was against my direct orders. You could have endangered the ship--and your child. What answer do you have for this charge, Lieutanant?"

Saavik got up, using the chair's arm as a brace. Her pregnant belly was starting to show.

She kissed The Captain on his cheek.

"I Love You, Pop!"

She left, to seek her husband.

Kirk emerged. Uhura asked a question.

"How did it go in there?"

Kirk shrugged.
