"Since my 'nephew' found me. That's before he was relocated and went scientific. Played around with radiation. Performed magic for his stepson Edward, too."

"Did he find--a cure?"

"Eventually. This scientist friend of his leaped through time and saved him from dying on a tarmac. His Immortal thief girlfriend was greatly pleased."

"What happened to Brennan?"

"While I taught high school, that ancestor of yours replaced him--a good cop."

"And then?"

"I became a judge."
