Kirk and Admiral Saavik receive startling and wonderful news, but their
younger children are deeply worried. As Kirk meets his nephew Peter's very
large gaggle of adopted children, connections are made and revealed.

stories, from late 2371 to early 2372, at a Dominion Prison Camp. Her ship
is destroyed. Her Captain and beloved is dead. Her friends think she is
insane, consumed by grief. She has been captured by The Dominion and replaced
by a shapeshifter. All in all, 2371 has outright sucked for Doctor Beverly
Crusher. Now, with things at their worst, she must depend upon an image
of the man she holds responsible for Picard's death to see her through
the worst year of her entire life.

deal more shaken up by Jean-Luc's loss than the others, and one of Jim's
old coping mechanisms has forgotten flaws.
